A Heartfelt Thanks for the Success of our Student Internship Program

Our sincere thanks go out to the New Mexico Department of Public Education. Their generous funding was instrumental in propelling the program's expansion from 450 students two summers ago to 850 the following year, culminating in an impressive 1,380 participants this year.

To our host partners, spanning both the public and private sectors, we extend our deepest gratitude.

Thank you to the dedicated team of Coordinators and support staff that maintained the daily operation of our internship program.

We acknowledge the tireless efforts of our Human Resources staff. Thank you.

And to the stars of our Internship Program - the students. The energy, curiosity, and dedication you have demonstrated throughout this journey have been a driving force behind the program's success.

To the parents of our interns- thank you for allowing and encouraging your children to take part in this program.

All of you had a part in creating nurturing environments that facilitated practical learning and growth for our young people.

Business Partners Reflect on the Internship Program

We are proud to share the thoughts and experiences of our business partners who have contributed immensely to our Internship Program. Read firsthand how they have observed our interns flourish, and the lasting impact it has had on their businesses.

"On behalf of all of the managers and staff at Heritage House, we sincerely thank you for assigning Interns for the Summer of 2023. This is our third year with the DAC interns. This year’s interns were best ever, well prepared, and the coordination seems to get better every year!
Our elderly residents lit up with joy when an intern painted their nails or worked a puzzle or other activity with them.  The added attention was well received by our residents and we remain forever grateful to the Coordinators at Dona Ana County who were at all times organized, professional and helpful.
With gratitude…"
